Just to confirm, which EA do you have? Is it speed or Buffalo? And if buffalo, which of the different types of the golden buffalo do you have (Pro, Channel rate or regular)?

How does it work with opposite possible gap during rollover ?
Gold veritas has been very good until big gap happened once and this made big loss to many people.

Judging from the history in the link, the golden rate bot was operated without stop loss. However it looks since last many weeks, they have added stop loss albeit a stop loss of 500 pips. So in essence it is up to you to position size well and so you don't get into huge losses when that happens. So far though nothing like that has happened. Anyway, I wish we can pull together as a group to get the quantum speed (QS) EA as well. It is much safer even though it's monthly returns are not as high as the golden buffalo rate channel. QS is being operated with stop loss of 200 pips (or 10% of the owner account being operated) however depending on the lot/position sizing you choose, you can make it 1% of your account. So far for its two years history, it has not come close to hitting the stop loss. Long may it continue.

 

Thank you for your answer, as I remember well the big gap on gold during rollover happened last may of 2023 when there was a default of an american bank, as I was trading with gold veritas and I took the big loss, but I see on the signalstart of golden buffalo no problems on that period.

 

I asked the author. Golden Rate is DIFFERENT than Golden Buffalo. Same EA, different settings.

There are 3 Golden Buffalo signals in signalstart and the largest loss of a single trade was freaking 30.46% ($1,007.50). No doubt that it's a good EA, proven with 4.17 PF, but risk management is poor. Good that we'll get the EA so that we can adjust the risk.

 

Yeah, I agree. It is very critical for people to be able to adjust the risk settings. Personally, any EA that commits more than 5% per trade is somewhat risky. So it is good that we can adjust the risk on Golden Buffalo.

 

DO we need a VPS to let this Run guys?

 

Is it mandatory a swap free account ? or buffalo can run also on a standard account with swap fee ? maybe less profit when there is the swap.
