So having used the site for a while, and feeling the pinch of a few bad transactions, I have a suggestion.

Why not implement a Escrow service through official third party?

This can be used in 2 ways.

Firstly, when organisers arrange the purchase of the item for the groupbuy, the purchase funds can be transferred to the seller of the product through the Escrow service, providing a safe way for the organiser to ensure groupbuy participants get what they pay for or a refund.

And then you can also implement the use of a Escrow service for all groupbuy participants, this way nobody ends up with a disappointing purchase.

There is no downside to these arrangements, the cost of the Escrow service can be covered by simply raising the number of participants in the groupbuy.

This is how you solve the problem of being missold anything and increasing the level of satisfaction and safety for all those involved.

 

Why? We shouldn't be dealing with anyone who isn't upfront and fair anyway.

It guarantees every part of the process, unless there is the intention of deception in the flrst place, in which case we are back to square one.

Anyone who is honest in business knows the value of Escrow, it levels the pitch to a fair flat surface.

 

Price of Escrow here is £30.

I don't think that is a lot of money in a groupbuy situation.
